Core values are a set of beliefs that you should filter all decisions through. They are the “soul” of your agency. They’ll guide you through the good times, bad times, big decisions, and small decisions.
PURPOSE STATEMENT
Your purpose statement is intended to guide you, but can never be physically achieved. Milestones, goals, ups, and downs will all come and go, but your purpose or the “why” you’re in business will remain the same.
MISSION STATEMENT
Your mission statement should be a big, hairy, audacious goal. When everyone responsible for accomplishing your agency’s mission first hears it, there should be a feeling of disbelief. But that disbelief should fuel them to accomplish it.
TRIBE ALIGNMENT
Tribe Alignment (also known as Group Buy-In) is the concept that you, the agency owner, can't build a 7-8 figure agency by yourself. You have to have every single one of your employees on your side. This sounds obvious, but you know as well as I do that some employees are just in it for the paycheck. These people will be a detriment to your agency if you let them be. Cultivate joint ownership in the successes and failures of your agency.
VISUALIZATION
Visualization is truly my favorite part of Agile Agency Leadership. It is the physical manifestation of each of these critical components. When something is physically represented around you in your daily activities it can have a major impact on your subconscious. It becomes part of your language, activities, and guides you in all aspects of decision making. If you and your employees can visualize your success, you can make that success a reality.
